Privacy notice
KinRate is in pilot preparation. The product stores a group consensus record outside the chat app so families and close groups can return to what they already decided.
What we collect
- Name or display name used inside the pilot.
- Contact details needed to operate the pilot, such as email or phone number.
- Group membership, consent status, ratings, comments, and saved consensus records.
- Operational data such as webhook events, delivery status, API logs, and waitlist signups.
Private and population consensus
Private group consensus is the default. A group can use KinRate without contributing to population benchmarks. Population consensus only uses groups that explicitly opt in to global sharing.
Benchmark sharing
If a group opts in to population benchmarks, KinRate may use its ratings in aggregated insight products. We do not sell raw group chats, contact details, phone numbers, or private household-level records.
How we use data
- To save and show the group consensus record.
- To operate pilot access, support, security, and abuse prevention.
- To produce population benchmarks only where a group has opted in.
- To improve the product before public launch.
What we avoid during pilot
KinRate is not intended for restricted subjects during pilot. We do not want groups using KinRate to store or benchmark sensitive, regulated, harmful, or rights-affecting judgments.
- Health, medical, mental health, medication, supplement, or clinical decisions.
- Financial, investment, credit, insurance, tax, legal, immigration, or professional-advice topics.
- Politics, religion, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or trade-union status.
- Children, schools, custody, safeguarding, child-directed recommendations, or decisions about minors.
- Dating, sexual content, adult services, gambling, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, weapons, or illegal activity.
- Employment, housing, lending, education access, eligibility, risk scoring, or other decisions affecting a person's rights or opportunities.
- Harassment, shaming, ranking people, blacklists, surveillance, or profiling that could harm a person or group.
Your controls
- You can ask for an export of your data.
- You can ask for your pilot data to be deleted.
- A group can keep its record private or opt in/out of population benchmarks.
- You can opt out of pilot communications.
